License Center Resumes Appointment-Only Operations
The Roseville License Center is currently open and processing Driver's License applications, Motor Vehicle transactions and DNR/ Fish and Game applications by appointment. Appointments can only be made through the online scheduling tool linked below. Appointment times are available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
Tab Renewals
The License Center is now offering walk-in (during business hours), drop-off (24/7) and mail-in services for tab and DNR renewals. The wait time for walk-in renewals will depend on the number of people in line as we try to respect social distancing both inside and outside of the building. If you have more than three renewals, please use the drop-box located to the right of the front door. The Roseville License Center will process the renewals and mail them to you. Please follow the instructions below when using the drop-box service. There is a 72-hour turnaround time on registration renewals processed though the mail or drop box.

Before dropping off or mailing paperwork, please review this checklist:
Write your insurance information on the renewal notice for vehicle tabs.
Include a contact name, address and telephone number on the envelope.
If enclosing a check, make it out to the City of Roseville and write your telephone number and driver’s license number on the check.
If paying by credit card, please complete, print out and enclosed both a Roseville License Center Credit Card Authorization Form and a Authorization to Process Registration Form. Both forms are also available from the table located outside the License Center. When paying by credit/debit card there is a 2.49% service fee added to transactions.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has extended the deadline to obtain a REAL ID, the federally mandated identification needed for passengers to board aircraft, one year to October 1, 2021 due to circumstances resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Visit the Department of Homeland Security website at www.dhs.gov for additional information.
With the extension, travelers will not need a REAL ID, Enhanced Driver's License or ID or a passport book or passport card to board domestic flights or to enter federal facilities until October 1, 2021.
The Roseville License Center accepts applications for the enhanced version of the Minnesota driver’s license or identification card. Enhanced driver’s licenses and identification cards allow re-entry into the United States via land and sea from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda or the Caribbean.
Applicants should allow a minimum of 45 minutes to complete the enhanced driver’s license or identification card process. This process is only for enhanced driver’s license or identification card applications and not for standard or REAL ID/DL.
