Cleveland Watermain Improvements Project

The City of Roseville will be replacing the watermain on Cleveland Avenue between County Road C2 and County Road D. The watermain is being replaced duo to the poor condition of the main. During the installation of the new main, adjacent property owners will be on a temporary water system so no interruption in water service should occur.

The cost of this project is funded by City utility funds. There will be NO ASSESSMENTS for this work within the City of Roseville.

Work on the project began on May 10.  Work on the project is expected to take 10-12 weeks, but should be completed by early August.

  • Week of July 27 – Restoration work will continue throughout the project, including remaining curb and driveway. Street restoration areas will be prepped for pavement.
  • Week of August 2 – Pavement patching will occur. Topsoil and boulevard restoration will occur. The northbound Cleveland lanes will be milled.
  • Week of August 9 – The final layer of pavement will be installed. Pavement markings will be installed 3-4 days after the pavement is installed. Mailboxes will be installed and temporary mailboxes will be removed and normal mail service should resume.
  • Week of August 16 – Final cleanup and all traffic control will be fully removed.

Road Closures and Detours

In order to perform the work, the northbound lane of Cleveland Avenue will be closed and traffic will be shifted to the middle lane. There will only be one lane of traffic in each direction with no turn lanes. Some local road closures will occur during the project and detours will be posted.  Access to homes and businesses will remain open.
