Similar to a model initiated in Maplewood in April of 2021, Roseville now has a Ramsey County Social Worker onsite in the Roseville Police Department, with another social worker expected to start in May of 2022.
Nicole Paradise joined Roseville Police in January 2021 as the first Embedded Social Worker (ESW) in the department. Nicole brings more than 15 years of social service experience and is already a tremendous asset to the team. Nicole spends a significant amount of time following up on 911 calls and police responses that involve mental health.
“Nicole adds great value to our team,” says Sgt. Sean Johnson, supervisor of the Community Action Team. “With her on board, we now have more choices and alternatives to better help people in crisis or people suffering from chemical dependency.”
