On Monday, September 19, Roseville City Council approved two new commissioners to the Planning and Public Works, Environment & Transportation (PWET) Commissions.
Allison Luongo will join the PWET Commission and Pamela Aspnes will join the Planning Commission. Both commissioners will hold their positions until March 31, 2024.
Luongo has been a Roseville resident for two years and is excited to use her skills as a civil engineer to help people understand some of the context around City decisions.
I wanted to get more involved in my local community, get to know people, and find out more about how the City operates public infrastructure and public works.
Aspnes has lived in Roseville most of her life. She is most excited to help the city face challenges and find solutions to housing, infrastructure, changing demographics, and resource constraints.
As Roseville ages I think we need to be very thoughtful how we manage the existing developed properties and the remaining open spaces," says Aspnes. "We need to think about both short and long term benefits to keep Roseville a wonderful place to live and work.
The City will begin a new recruiting process for all open commission vacancies in spring, 2023. To learn more about commission opportunities, visit CityofRoseville.com/Commissions, or email Volunteer Coordinator Rachel Boggs at rachel.boggs@cityofroseville.com.
