Roseville Central Park Foundation thanks the Malarkey family. Muriel Malarkey and her son Dennis Malarkey recently donated more than $100,000 to the Roseville Central Park Foundation (RCPF).
The Malarkey family moved to Roseville in 1955 and spent a great deal of time outdoors and enjoying Roseville parks. In 1972, Denny and his wife Sandra bought a home in Roseville.
Denny and his family recognized the importance of a strong park system. His family maintained the ice skating rink at Sandcastle Park for many years. Denny also volunteered, coached and supported local youth football, baseball and hockey teams. He donated his time, volunteering with John Rose and on the Roseville Parks and Recreation Commission. He currently serves on the Roseville Central Park Foundation board.
Denny’s mother Muriel has also been a generous supporter over the years, sponsoring various athletic teams. They continue their support, making a generous donation to the Central Park Foundation for the ongoing success of the park.
The RCPF has provided 50 years of support for Roseville’s Central Park. Over the years RCPF has made substantial financial donations and in-kind contributions, and members have donated tens of thousands of volunteer hours to create the best park and recreation system possible.
