2021 Preliminary Budget, Tax Levy 

The City Council approved a $62.9 million preliminary budget during its meeting on Monday, September 21. The preliminary budget calls for the city to hold the line on spending and increases Roseville’s budget just over one percent compared to 2020. The preliminary budget continues to fund all existing city programs and services, covers inflationary costs for staff and equipment plus the addition of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager and additional public safety personnel. Roseville Police Officers Honored

Congratulations to Roseville Police Officer Kevin Johnson and Police Sergeant Jeff Lopez. Officer Johnson and Sergeant Lopez were recently honored by the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association with the Lifesaver Award. Officer Johnson and Sergeant Lopez were selected from law enforcement officers from across the state to receive the award, which is presented to law enforcement officers whose actions rise above the normal course of duty and involve extraordinary performance or significant risk in the course of a lifesaving action. Read more

Multicultural Advisory Committee Begins Work

MAC Begins Work

Earlier this summer, the Roseville Police Department put out a call for residents interested in serving on a Multicultural Advisory Committee (MAC). Based on experience in several neighboring communities, the Police Department wanted to establish a committee to help strengthen community outreach and foster honest, ongoing and focused conversations between members of the community and police officers and other city staff in Roseville. Read more


Automated CPR Device

The Roseville Fire Department will soon add a new tool to help anyone in cardiac arrest and in need of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The LUCAS 3 device is an automated CPR machine that will help improve cardiac arrest survival rates. Firefighters will be able perform other lifesaving measures such as clearing airways, administering IV or medication and collecting vital patient health information, as the LUCAS 3 automatically provides chest compressions. Rice & Larpenteur Tour

The Future of Highway 36

Washington County Public Works, in partnership with Ramsey County, Hennepin County, MnDOT and Metropolitan Council, is leading a transit feasibility study of Highway 36. With Highway 36 running thorough the City of Roseville, study principals are interested in hearing from Roseville residents. The study will last approximately one year. Throughout the survey period, residents and businesses of communities along the corridor will have a chance to help establish a common vision. Read more
