February is Black History Month

The City of Roseville has joined communities across the nation to declare February to be Black History Month. Black History Month is a time for everyone to reflect on the contributions that African Americans have made to the nation and to reflect on the challenges that society places on the African American community. In 2021, the theme for Black History Month is The Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity. The theme celebrates African American families. Read more

Inclusive Exercise Opportunities

The City of Roseville is committed to creating a community that is open and welcoming to people of all ages and abilities. One way the city is doing this is by expanding inclusive play opportunities adding outdoor “fitness pods” in Central Park. Fitness pods are stations that contain equipment that can be used for strength, stretching, or cardiovascular workouts. Studies show that outdoor fitness equipment can provide more equitable access to fitness opportunities. Read more

Sustainability Updates

Receive Sustainability Updates

The City of Roseville is committed to protecting its valuable natural resources and is working to build a sustainable future for all. In recent years, the city has undertaken several large projects including installing solar panels and geothermal technology, implementing stormwater practices to filter runoff, reducing salt usage and other efforts. The city is launching several new programs to help protect the environment.

Snowshoe by Candlelight II

We had so much fun the first time we’re doing it again. Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you for an evening under the stars. Join us on Friday, February 19, as we snowshoe along a beautifully candlelit trail at Cedarholm Golf Course, 2323 Hamline Ave., from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Following the jaunt, get toasty warm while sipping hot chocolate at the Cedarholm Community Building. Skating Center Open

Skating Center Welcomes You

Roseville’s Skating Center invites you to skate. Indoor and outdoor skating is available. As of now, public skating sessions at the OVAL are limited to 50 to 100 skaters per session, depending on session offering. The Indoor Arena is limited to 25 skaters per session. Tickets must be purchased in advance for a specific skating session. Tickets are available at the SkatetheOVAL.com. Skating Center staff report that the OVAL tends to fill up on the weekends. Big Kid-Little Kid Fun

Roseville Parks and Recreation invites you to spend the afternoon with the special kid in your life. Join us for a Parent Child Activity Day. Kidcreate Studio will lead a guided art project where pairs work together to create a garden on canvas. Participants will enjoy a pre-packaged snack pack during the event and goodie bag full of more fun to take home. Designed for kids ages 4 to 12. Meet at the Roseville Skating Center on Friday, February 27 from noon to 1:00 p.m. Cost is $50 per pair. Read more

Creative Arts Spring Break Camps

Creative Arts Spring Break Camps

Kids, looking for some fun over spring break? Roseville Parks and Recreation is offering three creative arts classes: Slime-tastic Camp; How to Draw and Paint a Unicorn ; and Canvas and Clay Camp. All camps meet at Oasis Park Building, 1700 County Road C2, Roseville during the week of March 8-12. Register for the camps at online or call 651-792-7110. Kids, dress to get messy and bring a nut-free snack. A safety sheet that details precautions is available. Read more

Maple Magic Spring Break Camp

Discover the magic of maple trees and how they bring us syrup. This camp is designed for kids ages 6 to 10. We’ll meet at Harriet Alexander Nature Center, 2520 Dale St. Mornings filled with fun nature education and afternoons of nature-related recreation await you. You’ll learn tree tapping, uncover the story in growth rings,  make art, enjoy a pancake lunch, and more. Sign up for the full week ($243 regular or $235 for Roseville residents); or mornings only ($167 regular or $159 for Roseville residents). Read more
