Preventing Fraud and Identity Theft

Protect yourself from being a victim of identity theft and fraud. Roseville Police invite you to a fraud-prevention session on Friday, September 22, at the Roseville Skating Center. Officers will be on hand starting at 9:00 a.m. for coffee and conversation. Then at 10:00, experts from the police department will share information about how to spot and prevent fraud and identity theft scams.

Neighborhood Speed Boards

One of the most frequent complaints that Roseville police officers get is about cars speeding down residential streets. The Roseville Police Department offers a speed board program to address traffic concerns. The speed board has a flashing light that shows a driver’s speed. It also helps raise awareness that the speed limit on residential streets is 30 mph, unless otherwise posted. Individuals or neighbors can request a temporary speed board sign be placed on their street. Read more

Dementia and Family Conflict

Conflicts are bound to arise when caring for a family member with dementia. Learn how to deal with those conflicts when RSVL A/D continues its Dementia: Caring & Coping series on Thursday, Sept. 14 at the Roseville Library. Family therapist Tamara Statz will lead a discussion titled “Why Can’t My Family Agree.” The presentation begins at 1:00 p.m. It will offer suggestions to help families ease or avoid conflicts that can crop up when caring for a loved one with dementia. Tapped and Uncorked

Beer aficionados and wine enthusiasts, join us and get tapped and uncorked. It’s a cool event sponsored by Friends of Roseville Parks Foundation (FOR Parks) on Friday, Sept. 29 at the Guidant John Rose MN OVAL. Taped and Uncorked is a chance to sample special releases and casks from local craft breweries and distilleries and taste a selection of wines. Hands-Only CPR Class

Roseville firefighters are offering free, hands-only cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes at 6:30 on the third Wednesday of each month. This month the class will be on September 20. Classes meet at the Roseville Fire Station, 2701 Lexington Ave. North. Firefighters will teach a two-step, hands-only CPR process. Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops and can no longer pump blood to the brain or vital organs. Read more
