We’ll be open for skating on November 10. Skating starts at 6:00 p.m., and at 6:30 we’ll light the trees surrounding the skating rink in a very special OVALumination celebration. Fall Street Sweeping Begins Soon

Roseville’s Public Works Department will begin the autumn street sweeping soon. Sweeping generally occurs between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Sweeping will begin when the majority of leaves have fallen. Staff asks residents to avoid parking on city streets during daytime hours while street sweeping is in process. The city sweeps streets four times a year. Street sweeping helps prevent pollutants from getting into lakes and groundwater. Read more

After Caregiving: What's Next?

What comes next for the caregiver? The Roseville Alzheimer’s and Dementia Community Action Team (RSVL A/D) will discuss caregiver re-entry on November 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Roseville Library. The event is part of the popular Dementia: Caring and Coping series. It will provide an update on the year-old Roseville Dementia Caregiver Re-Entry Initiative, what issues former caregivers face, and the importance of self-care after giving intensive care to others. Help Maintain Roseville Parks

Make an impact on Roseville parks and natural resources. Roseville is looking for volunteers on November 18 to help drag and stack pre-cut buckthorn at Villa Park. Each month, Roseville hosts a volunteer opportunity at a local park as part of the natural resources renewal project. The efforts have greatly reduced the spread of buckthorn, so volunteers are attacking smaller buckthorn stands to prevent birds from spreading seeds to other areas. Read more

The Roseville Community Fund invites eligible, non-profit organizations to apply for up to $2,500 in grant money. This quarter’s applications are due by December 1. Winter Hazard Awareness Week

Winter weather can be a killer in Minnesota – literally. November 6-10 is Winter Hazard Awareness Week, a week to raise awareness about the dangers you could encounter in the winter and what you can do to protect yourself. Each year, adults and children in our state suffer injuries or death because they aren't aware of essential winter safety practices. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety has created a website with information about being safe during winter weather. Read more

Hands-Only CPR Class

Roseville firefighters are offering free, hands-only cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. This month class will be on November 15. Classes meet at the Roseville Fire Station, 2701 Lexington Ave. North. Firefighters teach an easy-to-learn two-step, hands-only CPR process. Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart stops and can no longer pump blood to the brain or vital organs. Read more

Free Car Seat Clinic

The City of Roseville is committed to keeping your children safe. One of the easiest things you can do is to make sure that your child’s car seat is installed correctly. Approximately 90% of car seats are not. This could lead to serious injury or death if your child is in an accident. Roseville is collaborating with Children’s Hospital of Minnesota to offer free car seat clinics. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will help residents install their kids or grandkids’ car seats. Read more

Roseville city offices, including the License Center, will be closed on Friday, November 10 to commemorate Veterans Day. Roseville Police and Fire remain on duty. Read more
