New Park - 2381 County Road B.

Sunset Park is now substantially complete and Open for Use

Due to unseasonably warm weather, the park is now complete and open for play ahead of schedule. The park contains a playground, picnic grove, basketball shooting area and small walking loop.

ARCHIVAL - Park Planning Process

The City is in the process of developing a .8 acre park at 2381 County Road B. 

The City held four neighborhood planning meetings to design the new park: 

  • Opportunities and Brainstorming (May 10, 2023)
  • Preliminary Concept Design Review (June 14, 2023)
  • Review and Amend Proposed Final Concept (September 13, 2023)

The final park master plan was adopted by the City Council on October 10, 2023. 

An open house to review preliminary plans for the playground was held on January 31, 2024. 

Construction of the new park is planned for 2024 with an anticipated opening in 2025.
