The Uniformed Division
The backbone of the Roseville Police Department is the uniformed patrol division. The patrol division is on duty 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
Patrol officers are the department's most visible element. They are the first to respond in emergency situations. They provide for public safety through traffic law enforcement and by maintaining order in the community.
Many officers have special training and expertise in fields such as crime scene investigation, barricaded suspects, hostage negotiations, tactical response, traffic, and crowd control.
Police officers receive annual training in use of force, traffic and criminal updates, mental health crisis intervention, mediation and conflict management, recognizing and valuing community diversity, and bi-annual training in first responder techniques.
