Join your friends as we say goodbye to Roseville Fire Station #1.
On Thursday, October 27, at 7:00 p.m. the Roseville Fire Department will bid a fond farewell to Fire Station #1, the City’s oldest fire station.
Former firefighters, retired Fire Chiefs, City Councilmembers and the Mayor will join Fire Chief Tim O’Neill and current firefighters and city staff for a photo display and final tour of the building. Retired Fire Chiefs and former firefighters will have an opportunity to say goodbye to the building that has been used since the late 1940s.
The fire station was donated to the Rose Township by the George Reiling family. It had formerly been used as a car dealership. The fire station is being torn down and a new station will be built at the same location. The actual demolition will not take place until the first week of December.
After formal remarks, the Fire Department Honor Guard will lower the American flag in front of the building located at the corner of Lexington and County Road C. The flag will then be raised when the new station is opened.
The community is invited to share in this special event. Refreshments will be provided.
