Roseville firefighters will lock their lips and let the hair above their lips do the talking this November.
Starting November 1, Roseville firefighters will stop shaving and grow mustaches with a message.
They’ll be participating in Movember, an awareness and fundraising campaign to fight cancers that strike men (prostate and testicular). Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death for men living in the United States. Earlier this year firefighters also took part in a walk to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Not all firefighters are content growing hair on their faces, some will be removing it from the top of their heads. Several of the RFD personnel have agreed to shave their heads. These firefighters will have a head shaving event at Fire Station #3 on November 1.
