[ARCHIVED] Donate to Shop With a Cop

Can you imagine the holidays without food or gifts for the little ones? Unfortunately, this is a harsh reality for some local families. So the Roseville Police Department is going to help.

The Roseville Police Department will participate in the Shop with a Cop program again on December 5. Shop with a Cop targets families and children who are victims of violence and enduring challenging times. The program is funded primarily through a generous grant from the Target Corporation, cash donations from residents, and in-kind donations from several local businesses.

Up to 30 volunteers, including the Chief of Police, at least 16 police officers, police administrative staff, and staff from the Tubman Family Alliance work together to ensure that each child in the program can purchase holiday gifts (with help from the officers) and have them wrapped for themselves and their family. Gift cards are also given to the families to purchase food for the holidays.

Shop with a Cop's success is largely due to the outstanding effort by the Roseville Police Department and from the wonderful support from the community. Please donate to this great program. Tax-deductible donations can be dropped off in person or mailed to Roseville Police Department, Attn: Sarah Mahmud, 2660 Civic Center Dr. Roseville, MN 55113. Deadline for donations is November 30.
