Who do I call if there's an issue with the sewer?
If you have a sewer backup, the first thing to do is call the City. During the workday, call 651-792-7004, and after hours call 651-767-0640. We will send someone out to determine whether the blockage is in the homeowner’s sewer line or in the City’s sewer main.

If the blockage is in the homeowner’s sewer line (connection from the home to the sewer main), the homeowner is responsible to contact a plumber and pay any cleanup or repair costs.
