The new recycling carts rollout is nearly complete! We still need your help!
On the evening of Friday, June 13, please leave your old Eureka recycling carts at the curb for final pickup. Eureka has hired ContainerPros to do a full citywide cart pickup on Saturday, June 14 to collect as many of the old carts as possible. Crews will drive every street in the city as part of this final pickup effort.
Other info about the rollout:
- we are 98% complete which is a very high percentage in terms of drops and removals.
- Roseville staff will make minor adjustments to incorrect cart sizes and quantiles over the next week.
- Cart size change requests can start on July 1, 2025 when Waste Mgmt.’s contract starts with the City.
***Staff is aware that some residents have received the wrong size cart due to incorrect information in the cart database. If you received the wrong size of cart, please contact the Roseville Public Works Department at (651) 792-7004 or publicworks@cityofroseville.com. Leave the cart at the curb, and the City will swap it with the correct cart in the next day or two.
Your collection day remains the same, and recycling will continue every other week.
Important dates
- May 31 to June 13: New carts roll out
- June 14: Final pickup day for old recycling carts
- July 1: Size changes or additional carts can be requested
New recycling hauler
The City of Roseville switched its recycling hauler to Waste Management after a competitive bidding process.
Waste Management was the low bidder and provided the best value for the city and its residents. The new black carts with blue lids are owned by the City of Roseville. Billing for recycling services is paid as part of the city utility bill. That will not change.
