Roseville residents are eligible for a rebate on their water bill when they replace an old toilet with a new water-saving one. Every homeowner is eligible for 50% of the cost of the purchase and installation of a toilet, up to $300. Many homeowners are eligible for 100% of the cost of the purchase and installation of a toilet, up to $600. The larger rebate is available if:
Homeowners simply need to fill out a one-page application and attach a copy of an itemized receipt and a photo of the newly installed WaterSense toilet.
The City of Roseville is offering the program in partnership with the Metropolitan Council. All homeowners are eligible for the 50% rebate, and many qualify for the 100% rebate.
The program is first-come, first-served and is only available until funds are depleted.
The City of Roseville also offers rebates of up to $300 for the installation of WaterSense dishwashers, clothes washers, shower heads, and irrigation controllers.
WaterSense-labeled products are backed by independent, third–party certification and meet the Environmental Protection Agency's specifications for water efficiency and performance. WaterSense toilets can save 13,000 gallons of water a year.
"When you use these water–saving products in your home or business, you can expect exceptional performance, savings on your water bills, and assurance that you are saving water for future generations," according to the EPA.
