Roseville is entering the next phase of its Natural Resources Management Plan, and we are seeking volunteers to help implement the program. Join us on January 21, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, for the kickoff event.
In 2014, as part of the Parks and Recreation Renewal Program, Roseville contracted with Stantec Environmental and Natural Resources Consultants to undertake an eco-restoration project to remove invasive, non-native plant species from city parks. The project spans 376 acres and includes savanna, woodland, wetland and shoreline restoration and management. The restoration effort included a combination of contract work, staff efforts and volunteers.
In 2019, Stantec will begin transitioning the project back to the City of Roseville.
Staff is recruiting sector leaders and constellation captains to lead volunteers and coordinate restoration efforts. Sector leaders and constellation captains will work with staff to coordinate natural resources events in their neighborhood. Staff will also recruit volunteers to help implement the events.
Please contact Rachel Boggs at 651-792-7028 or rachel.boggs@cityofroseville.com to learn how you can get involved.
