Celebrate Arbor Day and plant a tree! Friday, April 24 is Arbor Day in the City of Roseville. Trees add beauty to the home. They produce oxygen and buffer traffic noise.
Trees can help make homes more energy efficient and provide a home for birds, squirrels and other wildlife.
In honor of Arbor Day, the Arbor Day Foundation has named Roseville a Tree City USA. To become a Tree City USA, a community must have a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, a community forestry program and an Arbor Day observance.
The National Arbor Day Foundation sponsors the Tree City USA program in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service.
