School opening is around the corner. Roseville Police remind you to slow down in school zones. Watch for kids (and adults) walking or biking and be on the lookout for crossing guards, safety patrols and school buses.
Remember, it is illegal to pass a school bus that has red lights flashing. The speed limit on most streets in Roseville is posted. If it is not posted, the speed limit is 30 mph.
Thousands of children are struck by automobiles each year. Please review safety rules with your children and grandchildren. Teach your children to be safe. It’s a good idea to walk the school route with your children before school opens and review the following safety rules.
- Look both ways before crossing a street or alley.
- Only cross at street corners.
- Never enter a street from between parked cars.
- Use designated school crossings whenever possible.
