Explore Roseville’s fire station as we kick off fire prevention week. The Roseville Fire Department invites the community to an open house on Saturday, October 3. Drop in anytime from Noon to 3:00 p.m.
Take a tour of the facility, talk fire safety, climb on a fire truck, enjoy refreshments and learn about smoke alarms.
Half of home fires happen between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. so it is important to have a working smoke alarm in every bedroom and on every level of your home. Roseville firefighters recommend that you test alarms once a month by pushing the test button, and replace smoke alarms every 10 years.
There are also smoke alarms for people who are hard of hearing. These alarms may use strobe lights or vibrate to alert someone who has difficulty hearing. These strobe light smoke alarms are available at larger hardware stores and online.
The fire station is located at 2701 Lexington Ave. Please park at Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Dr. Bike racks are available in the city hall parking lot. Get more information at www.facebook.com/RosevilleMNFireDepartment or www.cityofroseville.com/fire.
