Everyone loves a parade, but few people realize the behind-the-scenes efforts required to plan a parade. For 2016, the Rose Parade Committee is looking for someone to chair the parade committee efforts.
For the past 25 years, a dedicated group of parade volunteers have organized Roseville’s Rose Parade. They work closely with city staff to make the parade an integral part of the annual Rosefest celebration.
Planning for the parade starts in November of each year. Volunteers meet and map out the steps for a successful parade.
The parade chair will provide leadership to the committee of experienced volunteers who are dedicated to making the Rose Parade possible. The chair oversees planning and event day operations. The chair will be a people person who can motivate and encourage volunteers while juggling responsibilities and delegating them when needed.
This volunteer position offers a great opportunity to make friends, hone your management skills, enhance your resume, and be a part of a highly visible and fun community event.
