It’s the Year of the Monkey – celebrate the Chinese New Year at Harriet Alexander Nature Center’s (HANC) Open House on Sunday, February 7, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
In honor of the Chinese New Year, the Nature Center will celebrate the Year of the Monkey. Celebrate your love of nature and learn about one of the world’s most beloved animals. Explore theories of primate and human development. Challenge your knowledge about monkeys from literature, TV, movies and mythology.
While visiting the Nature Center, take time to visit the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. They're having a once-a-year open house where you can take a behind-the-scenes peek at this animal "hospital." Their open house is from noon to 4:00 p.m. The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is located near HANC’s parking lot.
