Join the City of Roseville on May 12, at 3:30 p.m., as the Police Department recognizes officers for their outstanding police work. The City will also recognize several private citizens for their assistance to police.
Officer Dennis Kim will receive an Award of Merit. This award is given to an officer for outstanding performance of duty under unusual or difficult conditions. This action need not involve physical danger, but must involve protection of life or property and unusual thoroughness, conscientiousness, determination, and initiative.
Twenty-five officers and a police administrative staff person will receive Unit Citations at the awards ceremony. Unit Citations are awarded for exceptional police work or accomplishments that involve personal danger or adverse conditions. This award recognizes teamwork by two or more officers.
Officers Bryan Anderson, Shawn Carter, Boua Chang, Mitch Christensen, Joe Cox, Aaron Craven, Grant Dattilo, Kyle Eckert, Tom Gray, Justin Gunderson, Brooke Jennings, Kevin Johnson, John Jorgensen, Christine Martson, Sean Mooney, Matt Nelson, Lacey Neumann, Erin Reski, Al Stefani, Juan Toran, Haivy Vang, Ryan Weber, and Zack Wiesner, Sergeants Joe Adams and Jen Engh, and Property Room Technician Julie Griffin will receive Unit Citations.
In addition to the officers, six citizens will be recognized. They will each receive a Certificate of Appreciation for their assistance to the Roseville Police.
The award ceremony will be at Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive. The community is invited to celebrate the accomplishments of the police officers and private citizens.
