The orchard was brought to life thanks to the efforts of volunteers and staff, who planted more than 100 fruit-bearing trees and shrubs. Moving forward, the orchard will provide a community learning experience for classes and for community members to learn how to grow, harvest and preserve fresh produce.

Fruits and vegetables that will be harvested over the years will be made available to the community and donated to local food shelves.

We’re looking for volunteers to weed and mulch around the trees and shrubs. Staff from The Food Group will explain the project, lead volunteers, and teach participants how to care for the fruit-bearing trees and shrubs.
