Have fun in the snow! We’ve got a great base of snow, so it’s time to get out and play. Roseville Parks and Recreation is offering two cross country ski classes in January.
Classes are designed for beginners and advanced beginners combined in one class. Classes meet from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on January 7 and 8 or January 21 and 22. Participants 8 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Classes are small so you’ll get lots of personal attention. Cost is $37 or $29 for Roseville residents. Classes meet at Cedarholm Golf Course, 2323 Hamline Ave. Call 651-792-7110 to register or click the Online Registration button in the left menu at www.cityofroseville.com/parks to register online.
Skis, boots and poles are available to rent for the classes for $8.00. Skis are generally available for skiers 12 years and older. Call the Parks and Recreation Department at 651-792-7006 to rent the skis. You don’t have to take a class to rent skis.
Once you’ve learned to cross-country ski you can make your own trails at any of Roseville’s parks, or as weather permits, try out the city-groomed ski trails at the golf course.
