Congratulations to eight Roseville residents. The Roseville City Council appointed them to several commissions at its March 13 meeting. Commission members are volunteers and serve as advisors to the City Council.
Malcolm McRoberts was appointed to the Finance Commission. The Finance Commission provides input to the budget process, financial policies, recommendations on funding strategies for the capital improvement plan and budget goals and objectives.
Mankpondehou Djevi, was appointed to the Human Rights Commission (HRC). The HRC provides a method for citizen input concerning human rights issues and promotes a positive human rights climate in the community.
Darrell Baggenstoss and Gregory Hoag were appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission. The commission provides input concerning parks and recreation facilities, programs and needs. It identifies areas that may require action or change to promote a harmonious, safe, and responsive Parks and Recreation program.
Pete Sparby and Tammi Etheridge were appointed to the Planning Commission. The commission provides a forum for input into planning applications and development plans and policies.
Randi Lundell was appointed to the Police Civil Service Commission. The commission reviews employment practices of the Police Department to ensure they are fair and reasonable as authorized by state statute.
Nancy Misra was appointed to the Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission. The commission advises the Council and staff on public works, environmental and transportation matters.
The new commission members will begin their appointments in April.
