Celebrate Earth Day. Join us at Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) on April 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a fun-filled day that celebrates our planet.
Activities include planting a tree and butterfly-friendly plants, parade, tours, crafts, displays, and an Earth Day birthday cake. Will Hale and the Tadpole Parade will provide music and entertainment starting at 10:30 a.m.
The first 200 guests will receive a 2017 Chinook Book, thanks to a donation from Music Go Round. Chinook Books are full of local coupons that promote environmental stewardship. Additionally, we’ll give away 100 red maple tree seedlings, reusable tote bags and garden seeds, while supplies last. Visitors can also enter a free drawing for a variety of great prizes, including a rain barrel and compost bin.
The Earth Day Celebration is sponsored by Half Price Books. This will be a zero waste event. Volunteers from Eureka Recycling and the City of Roseville will assist with recycling and answer questions about recycling.
