Celebrate Arbor Day and plant a tree! Friday, April 28 is Arbor Day in the City of Roseville. Trees add beauty, produce oxygen and buffer traffic noise.
They can make homes more energy efficient and can make a home for birds, squirrels and other wildlife.
In honor of Arbor Day, the Arbor Day Foundation has named Roseville a 2017 Tree City USA. To become a Tree City USA, a community must have a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, comprehensive community forestry program and an Arbor Day observance. In addition, Roseville received a Tree City USA Growth Award for demonstrating progress in the community forestry program.
The National Arbor Day Foundation sponsors the Tree City USA program in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service.
