Join Roseville’s Community Health Awareness Team (CHAT) at the Ramsey County Library in Roseville on Saturday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. for an Assistive Technology Fair.
Assistive Technology Fair Exhibitors and Sponsors
Assistive technologies (AT) are tools used by people with disabilities to accomplish tasks. AT can improve the lives of people with limited communication skills, wandering, autism spectrum, limited vision or hearing, impaired mobility, cognitive impairment, and serious medical conditions.
The fair will feature samples and demonstrations of many AT devices including the VITALSTM app, a technology service used by the Roseville Fire and Police Departments. VITALSTM is designed to create safer interactions between first responders and people with behavioral, mental health, and developmental or intellectual disorders.
There will also be information about places to try out AT and AT loan programs. Fair exhibitors include the Learning Lab for Eldercare Technologies, the Minnesota STAR Assistive Technology program, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, Strauss Skate ad Bike, and VITALSTM Aware Services.
