Most health experts agree on the benefits of adding exercise to your daily routine. It can help keep your heart healthy and your brain sharp. Exercise can help lower the risk of certain cancers. It can help control diabetes and blood pressure. Exercise can help improve range of motion and reduce some aches and pains, but it is important to talk with your health care provider before beginning a new exercise routine. Over 50 and Fit – Exercise to videotapes in a fun, small group setting that emphasizes flexibility while increasing strength and stamina. Meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 a.m., year round at Roseville Skating Center, 2661 Civic Center Drive. Cost is $16.
Wu Qin Xi – A powerful yet soothing exercise based on the Chinese qigong practice that uses movement to promote health. Meet 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Thursdays at the Lexington Park Building, 2131 Lexington Ave. September 20-November 8. Cost is $60, $52 for Roseville residents.
Tap for Older Adults – Beginning Tap meets at 8:30 a.m. and Intermediate Tap meets at 9:30 a.m. on Fridays beginning September 7 at Fairview Community Center, 1910 County Road B West. Cost is $50 for eight classes.
Older Adult Bowling – Meet Mondays beginning September 10 for recreational bowling at Flaherty’s Arden Bowl, 1273 West County Road E, Arden Hills. Weekly cost of $8.00 for three games and coffee. Registration fee $7.00 and shoe rental $1.50. Games start at 9:30 a.m.
Senior Skating – Arena skating is reserved for seniors year round on Wednesdays from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. Cost is $4.00 per session. Meet at the Roseville Skating Center, 2661 Civic Center Drive.
Senior Club #5 – Meet first and third Thursday from 11:45 to 3:30 p.m. Free and open to anyone 55 years or older. Play cards, visit and enjoy refreshments. Meet at Rosetown American Legion, 700 County Road C.
