Roseville firefighters really know how to cook, and for the last time, they plan to dish up a hearty serving of the best Booya around on Sunday, October 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the Roseville VFW, 1145 Woodhill Drive.
After 72 years, this will be the final Booya dinner cooked up by the Roseville Fire Department Auxiliary..
Booya is a hearty beef, chicken and vegetable soup. It will be available for $5.00 per scoop until supplies run out, usually by 2:00 p.m. Hot dogs and other food items will be available for purchase.
Money raised at the event goes to firefighters or their families in a time of need and to firefighter athletic/fitness programs. They also donate funds to community programs such as the Roseville Area High School lock-in, school safety patrol, fire explorers, and other programs not funded through taxpayer dollars.
