Roseville resident can pick up free compost from the bins in front of Roseville’s Leaf Recycling Center on Dale St., south of County Road C. Nutrient rich compost boosts soil and helps your garden.
Wood chips are also available and make a great ground cover that reduces weeding, saves water, nourishes soil and reduces the need for chemical weed killers or herbicides.
The gates to the Leaf Recycling Center will be open from April 1 to May 6, letting residents drive in to drop off leaves or to pick up compost and wood chips.
The city will deliver up to six cubic yards of wood chips or compost to homes in Roseville. The delivery charge is $40 per load. Beginning May 1, residents can sign up for deliveries at www.cityofroseville.com/deliveries or 651-792-7004.
