Celebrate Arbor Day and plant a tree! Friday, April 26 is Arbor Day in the City of Roseville. In honor of Arbor Day, the Arbor Day Foundation has named Roseville a Tree City USA.
To become a Tree City USA, a community must have a tree board or department, a tree care ordinance, a community forestry program and an Arbor Day observance.
Trees add beauty, produce oxygen and buffer traffic noise. They can help make homes more energy efficient and can provide a home for birds, squirrels and other wildlife.
The National Arbor Day Foundation sponsors the Tree City USA program in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service.
