What does it take to wear the badge? The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association has created a video series to help answer that question and has featured Roseville Police Officer Crystal Jones in the latest release.
Jones started working as a Community Services Officer in Roseville in 2013. After completing training, she became a sworn office in 2014. She currently works as the city’s school liaison officer (SLO), spending the majority of the school year at Roseville Area High School.
As the SLO, Jones helps provide safety at the high school. She also serves as an advisor to the Roseville Police Explorers Program, which works with 14 to 21 year-olds interested in learning about law enforcement and criminal justice.
The two-minute video highlights Jones’ experience as a school liaison officer and how she found her path to a career in law enforcement. It is available at www.facebook.com/wearthebadge and on YouTube https://youtu.be/u9ftE38fovY. Or, check it out below.
