Stay ahead of water line freeze-ups - check on the water temperature coming from your faucet. To reduce the risk of froze water service lines, Roseville Utilities suggests checking the temp of your cold tap water.
If the temperature of the water coming from your tap is 38 degrees or lower, the most effective way to keep service lines from freezing is to keep water moving. Leave a cold water tap running with a pencil sized stream of water – about one-quarter of an inch.
