The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires water suppliers to provide consumers with an annual report. The report details some of the levels of common contaminants, and indicates whether these substances are at dangerous or actionable levels.
Safe Drinking Water
Roseville Public Works Director Marc Culver leads the team in measuring these potential contaminants. They test the water in the City three-to-four times each year by collecting samples from residents’ homes. This year’s test showed very low levels of contaminates.
Historically, there have been areas in the country where the infrastructure isn’t as reliable as here. No matter where you live within the Roseville City limits, whether you live in an apartment or single-family home, whether it’s modern or not, the infrastructure being used to feed the water to our community members isn’t lead based. That means it isn’t as susceptible to that lead leaching into our water. The City of Roseville is proud of the water it supplies.
The City of Roseville purchases its water from St. Paul Regional Water Service (SPRWS). That water is pumped to the City to distribute it through more than 150 miles of water pipes.
