The FBI National Academy is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement managers and is internationally known for its academic excellence. Adams graduated alongside members of law enforcement agencies from 48 states, 25 countries, five military organizations, and five federal civilian organizations.  

“The FBI National Academy was a great opportunity to learn from a variety of internationally-recognized instructors and subject matter experts,” says Adams. “It was also a great opportunity to listen to and network with law enforcement professionals from throughout the U.S. and from other countries.” 

Adams adds his name to the list with Roseville’s current Chief of Police, Erika Scheider, previous Chiefs of Police, Rick Mathwig and Carol Sletner, and Lieutenant Dick Salverda. Participation in the academy is by invitation only through a nomination process and applicants must have a record of demonstrated leadership qualities and experience.  

“I left the academy feeling very proud of our department,” adds Adams. “From our commitment to community engagement and transparency to our officer wellness and recruitment programs, we are making positive changes in our community and to the industry.”
