The City of Roseville invites residents to get an education in city governance. From crafting a budget, to repairing and maintaining streets, to fighting fires and public safety, Roseville U offers a behind-the-scenes look at your local city government.
Roseville U will be in session beginning May 7 through November 19, and enrollment is completely flexible. Residents may enroll in one class, major in a specific area, or go for a master’s degree by attending them all.
Roseville U’s informative, fun, and interactive courses feature presentations and field trips with the Administration, Finance, Police, Parks & Recreation, Fire, Public Works, and Community Development departments. Each class will provide residents with an opportunity to learn and ask questions.
There is no tuition cost for the 15 available courses, but space is limited. For a list of course offerings and to complete an online registration form, please visit www.cityofroseville.com/RosevilleU. Registration forms are also available by mail. Call 651-792-7001 to request a registration form and one will be mailed to you.
Roseville U was last offered to residents in 2013. The 2015 edition of Roseville U will be the seventh version of the popular course and features new topics and more classes than ever before.
The City of Roseville is committed to transparency and providing information about City services and functions through civic engagement. Local city government has an extremely high impact on the lives of residents through direct services provided. Continuing to create opportunities for engagement with programs like Roseville U is a shared aspiration of both the City Council and City staff.
