Snelling Avenue (Hwy 51) north or Roseville will be closed for the weekend for demolition of the Ramsey County Road E bridge crossing the highway beginning Friday night.
The inside lanes will close in each direction at 6 p.m. Friday to start setting up and then Snelling Avenue will be completely closed in each direction at 10 p.m.
During the work, southbound Snelling Avenue will be closed between County Road F and Hamline Avenue, south of the bridge. Northbound Snelling Avenue will close between County Road E and I-694. The ramp from northbound Snelling Avenue to eastbound County Road E will remain open throughout the weekend. All other ramps at County Road E and Snelling Avenue will close.
During this weekend's closure, please follow the signed detours to reach your destination.
When Snelling Avenue reopens by 5 a.m. on Monday morning, you'll find a single lane in each direction near County Road E for about one month as crews build the center pier for the new bridge in the highway median. County Road E already closed this past Monday and remains closed until the end of the project in late August.
